OPENING THE WALKERMAINTENANCE:The walker has lubricant applied onthe plastic joints that slide along aluminum tubing.This lubricant will eventuallydry out and make thewalker more difficult to open and Close. When thisoccurs, the recommendedlubricantto spraybetween the plastic joints and the aluminum tubesis WD-40 (see www.wd40.com). This can beobtained from stores such as Lowe's, True ValueHardware,RiteAid, Office Depot, HomeDepot,Target,FredMyer,Napa,andWalgreens.As shown in Figure 1, pull the handlesas far apartfrom each other as possible.As shown in figure 2, pushthe Locking Paddownto lock walker into open position.NOTE: DONOTSITON,ORPUTMORETHAN5-LBSOF DOWNWARD WEIGHT ON THE LOCKING PADHEIGHT ADJUSTMENTAs shown in Figure5, remove Knoband Bolt fromthe front leg tubePositionthe Handleup or down to the desiredheight.Align a hole in the handletube with the hole in theFront leg tube, reinsert the bolt and tighten Knob asshown in Figure 5.Handle2.34.5.Seriousinjury or death can result if the MetroWalker is not used in the intended manner.Stander,Inc. is committed to providing safe products andinformingthe user of ways to prevent accidents.SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:Regularlycheck the walker to make surethere are no broken or loose partsWhentraveling, make sure walker is notsubject to being thrown or dropped.
