AD-net Technology AN-UM100-1 User Manual
1Brief introductionMany thanks for purchasing AD-net Fast Ethernet opticaltransceiver! This product supportsIEEE802.3UI100Base-Tx/Fx protocol, as well as full duplexand half duplex mode. This manual is for adaptive10M/100M transceivers. The following purchasing guide isfor customer’s reference.Purchasing guide for AD-net optical transceiversModel SpecificationsAN-UM100-1 10/100M adaptive, multi-mode 2km, SCAN-UM100-2 10/100M adaptive, multi mode 2km, STAN-UM100SM-20 10/100M adaptive, single mode 25km, SCAN-UM100SM-40 10/100M adaptive, single mode 40km, SCAN-UM100SM-60 10/100M adaptive, single mode 60km, SCAN-UM100SM-100 10/100M adaptive, single mode 100km, SCAN-UM130-20 10/100 Base-TX/FX BridgeConverter 20Km SC ConnectorAN-UM150-20 10/100 Base-TX/FX BridgeConverter 20Km SC ConnectorPacking listPlease check the following items in the package beforeinstalling the transceiver.Fast Ethernet optical transceiver 1setAC/DC adapter (external) 1pcPower line (built-in) 1pcUser manual 1copyWarranty card 1pcPlease contact the dealer immediately for any loss ordamage to the above items.Installation1. InterfaceRJ-45 interfaceThe transmission media adopts CAT5 twisted-pair withtypical length of 100 meter. It features the function ofautomatically identifying the through line and cross wire(10/100M).Fiber interfaceSC/ST fiber interface is of duplex mode type, including twointerfaces, namely TX and RX. When the two sets of opticaltransceiver are interfaced or connected to switch with fiberinterface, the fiber is in cross connection, namely "TX-RX","RX-TX" (direct butting for single optical fiber).2. ConnectionThe network device (work station, hub or switch) withRJ-45 interface is connected to RJ-45 jack of opticaltransceiver through twisted-pair. And the multi/single modefiber is connected to SC/ST fiber interface of the opticaltransceiver. Then switch on. The corresponding LED is onfor correct connection.
