(P1 ~ P4)Three switches on the front of the unit are used to configure the unitaccording to the needs of your installation. Different configurationscenarios are explained later in this manual.On the top of the unit you’ll find the connections for the ‘incoming’phone linesThe switches and the incoming phone line connections are onlyaccessible when the front of the ‘Comm Center Cabinet’ is removed.The unit will probably be configured during installation. Make sure totake note of the configuration (Connections to the rear ports and switchsettings). At the end of this manual, you will find a table where you canwrite down the configuration.4 Installation and powerNo power needed.Load ratio for this module = 0.Maximum allowed load ratio (sum of the load ratios for all modules) forpower supply ABI-PS1001S00 = 4.Click the module on the DIN-Rail as shown in the pictures below:5 Installation scenariosThe switches on the front of the unit (see Figure 1) )can be placed intwo positions (A and B). A number of combinations is possible, but notall possible combinations are allowed (depending on the externalconnections to ISDN, L1 and L2, and the connected devices to P1 ~P4)5.1 One analog (PSTN) phone lineWhen you have one incoming telephone line (standard PSTN), youcan distribute the signal to 4 locations in parallel.When a call arrives, all phones will ring at the same time. You can pick-up any of the four phones to answer the call.If during a call a second phone is unhooked, this phone will join theongoing conversation.No internal calls between the locations are possible (NO PABXfunction).Switch Nr. PositionS1 AS2 AS3 AFor this configuration, the switches must be in the positions indicatedin the preceding table. |
