Intravascular dyes such as indocyanine green ormethylene blue.13. SpO2 measurements may be adversely affected inthe presence of high ambient light. Shield thesensor area (with a surgical towel, or direct sunlight, for example) if necessary.14. Excessive patient movement15. High-frequency electrosurgical interference anddefibrillators16. Venous pulsations17. Placement of a sensor on an extremity with a bloodpressure cuff, arterial catheter, or intravascular line.18. The patient has hypotension, severevasoconstriction, severe anemia, or hypothermia19. The patient is in cardiac arrest or is in shock20. Fingernail polish of false finernails may causeinaccurate SpO2 readings.Follow local ordinances and recycling instructionsregarding disposal or recycling of the device anddevice components, including batteries.4. Product Properties1. Operation of the product is simple and convenient2. The product is small in volume, light in weight(total weight is about 50g including batteries)and convenient in carrying.3. Power consumption of the product is low andthe two originally-equipped two AAA batteriescan be operated continuously for 30 hours.4. Low voltage warning will be indicated in visualwindow when battery voltage is so low thatnormal operation of the oximeter might beinfluenced.5. The product will automatically be powered offwhen no signal is in the product for longerthan 8 seconds.5. Product Operation ScopeThe finger type pulse oximeter can be used tomeasure human Haemoglobin Saturation and heartrate through finger. The product is suitable for use infamily, hospital (including clinical use in internist/surgery, Anaesthesia, paediatrics, intensive care andetc.) Oxygen Club, social medical organizations, physical care in sports (It can be used before or aftersports. Operation in sport procedure is notrecommended) and etc. The product is not suitableto monitor patient continuously.6. Operation Instructions1. Install two AAA batteries into battery cassettebefore covering its cover.2. Nip the clamp as diagram.3. Plug one of fingers into rubber hole of theOximeter (it is best to plug the finger thoroughly)before releasing the clamp.4. Press the switch once on front panel.5. Your finger do not tremble during the Oximeter isworking. Your body is not recommended inmoving status.6. Read correspondent datum fromdisplay screen.7. Six display modesAfter turn on the oximeter, each time youpress the power switch, the oximeterwill switch to another display mode. There are 6 display modes shownas follows:1. 2.3. 4.5. 6.7. Brief Description of Front PanelIt is apparent the heart rate bargraph displaycorresponds with pulse rate. When you press the power switch for a long time(more than one second), the brightness of theoximeter will be changed by degrees, there are10 levels on brightness; the default level is levelfour.Declaration: Please use the medical alcohol toclean the rubber touching the finger inside ofOximeter, and clean the test finger usingalcohol before an after each test. (The rubberinside os the Oximeter belongs medicalrubber, which has no toxin, and no harmful tothe skin of human being). When your finger is plugged into the Oximeter, your nail surface must be upward.PULSE OXIMETERLow power indicatorSpO 2 waveformPower SwitchPR Bar graphSpO2 Pulse Rate3. Precautions for use1. Do not use the pulse oximeter in an MRIor CT environment.2. Do not use the pulse oximeter in situationswhere alarms are required. The devicehas no alarms.3. Explosion hazard: Do not use the pulseoximeter in an explosive atmosphere.4. The pulse oximeter is intended only as anadjunct in patient assessment. It must beused in conjunction with other methods ofassessing clinical signs and symptoms.5. Check the pulse oximeter sensor applicationsite frequently to determine the positioningof the sensor and circulation and skinsensitivity of the patient.6. Do not stretch the adhesive tape whileapplying the pulse oximeter sensor. Thismay cause inaccurate read the manual.7. Before use, carefully read the manual.8. The pulse oximeter has no SpO 2 alarms; it isnot for continuous monitoring, as indicatedby the symbol.9. Prolonged use or the patient’s condition mayrequire changing the sensor site periodically.Change sensor site and check skin integrity, circulatory status, and correct alignment atleast every 4 hours.10. Inaccurate measurements may be causedby autoclaving, ethylene oxide sterilizing, orimmersing the sensors in liquid may causeinaccurate readings.11. Significant levels of dysfunctionalhemoglobins (such as carbonxy-hemoglobinor methemoglobin)1. Product Intended Use2. Measurement principleIntended Use:Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is a portablenon-invasive, spot-check, oxygensaturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO 2 )and pulse rate of adult and pediatric patientat home, and hospital (including clinical usein internist/surgery,Anesthesia, intensive care and etc). Not forcontinuously monitoring. The requires no routine calibration ormaintenance other than replacement ofbatteries.Principle of the Oximeter is as follows: Anexperience formula of data process is establishedtaking use of Lambert Beer Law according toSpectrum Absorption Characteristics of Reductivehemoglobin (R Hb) and Oxyhemoglobin (O 2 Hb)in glow and near-infrared zones. Operationprinciple of the instrument is PhotoelectricOxyhemoglobin inspection Technology isadopted in accordance with Capacity PulseScanning and Recording Technology, so that twobeams of different wavelength of lights (660nmglow and 940nm near infrared light) can befocused onto human nail tip through perspectiveclamp finger-type sensor. Then measured signalcan be obtained by a photosensitive element, information acquired through which will be shownon two groups of LEDs through process inelectronic circuits and microprocessor.8. Push the battery cover horizontally alongthe arrow shown as below:Please put or remove batteries in right order,or is likely to damage the device bracket. Please remove the battery if the Oximeter willnot be used for long time.Notes: Battery polarities must be correctlyinstalled. Otherwise, damage might be causedto device.Lanyard Hole10. Hang Lace Installations1. Thread thinner end of the hang lacethrough the hanging hole.2. Thread thicker end of the lace through thethreaded end before pulling it tightly.11. Using the Lanyard1. Thread thinner end of the lanyard throughthe hanging hole.2. Thread thicker end of the lanyard throughthe threaded end before pulling it tightly.Warnings!1. Keep the oximeter away from youngchildren. Small items such as the batterydoor, battery, and lanyard are chokinghazards.2. Do not hang the lanyard from the device’selectrical wire.12. Maintenance and Storage1. Replace the batteries timely when lowvoltage lamp is lighted.2. Clean surface of the finger type Oximeterbefore it is used in diagnosis for patients |
