Align thedocument at one end of document guide (read with a swipe action from right toleft for optimum performance) and swipe the document through theguide at a steady speed, ensuring that the swipe actioncontinues until the document has completely travelledthrough the guide. The module can accept a wide rangeof swipe speeds.A successful read isconfirmed with thegood-read indicatorilluminating green andan audible beep. Anunsuccessful read isconfirmed with thebad-read indicatorilluminating red and three audible beeps. If a read isunsuccessful then re-swipe; for persistent errors refer to theTroubleshooting section.How to read a document with MSR dataAvailable on model OCR310-MC7m only. Orient the document correctly withthe magnetic swipe facing away from you. Align the document at either end ofdocument guide and swipe the document through the guide at a steady speed,ensuring that the swipe action continues until the documenthas completely travelled through the guide. Themodule can accept a wide range of swipe speeds.A successful read is confirmed with the good-readindicator illuminating green and an audible beep.An unsuccessful read is confirmed with the bad-readindicator illuminating red and three audible beeps. If a readis unsuccessful then re-swipe; for persistent errors referto the Troubleshooting section.Swipe from right to left foroptimum performanceRead with magnetic stripeat the bottom and facingtowards the Motorola deviceAttaching & removingAlign the module latch-grips (see section main module features) with the slots onthe module and slide it towards the Motorola device firmly until it clicks into place.No configuration of the module or Motorola device is required. If the application isrunning on the Motorola device, both the green and red indicators will illuminatemomentarily.To remove the module squeezing the left and right latch-grips together firmly neartheir base and slide the module away from the Motorola device.ChargingThe module replicates the Motorola deviceconnectivity on its base via the I/O connectorwhich allows the device to be charged in theusual way with the module attached. Thisincludes the option to charge via the standardMotorola device cradle.When connected for charging, the LED chargeindicator on the Motorola device will illuminatein the usual way. |
