The regulators control the amount of dcexcitation to the exciter field of conventionalbrushless synchronous generators.Regulation is provided by sensing the generatoroutput voltage, converting it to a dc signal andcomparing the signal to a reference voltage signal. An error signal is developed and used to controlthe dc field power in order to maintain a constantgenerator output. The regulator includes frequency compensationwith selectable slope, inverse-time overexcitationshutdown, solid-state build-up circuitry, single-phase or three-phase voltage sensing, single-phase or three-phase shunt, or permanent magnetgenerator power input, parallel droop compen-sation, and an accessory input. The accessory in-put provides compatibility with accessories such asa var/power factor controllers or excitation limiters.ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONSPower OutputAVC63-12: 12 Adc @ 63 Vdc maximum con-tinuous. 24 Adc @ 125 Vdc forcing for 10seconds.
