Bat-teries are to be handled with care and battery pow-ered devices should be kept out of reach of chil-dren. Do not try to recharge or burn the batteries.TECHNICAL INFORMATIONCavius heat alarm detects:1) rapidly increased temperature level2) absolute heat level of 58 degrees C.The maximum number of alarms that can be inter-linked within a house group are 32.Please note: These must be alarms from the CAVIUSWireless Alarm Family.The distance between interlinked alarms dependson the house layout and they should always betested after installation. It is not advised to getmore than 10m distance between two alarms.Diameter: 65mm. Height: 44mm.The alarm is powered by a replaceable 3vCR123A lithium battery.1. HOW TO SET UP AND CONNECT ALARMS:Start by pulling out the battery isolation strip asshown.Please note: The product label must not beremoved as it contains important informationregarding the product.All alarms that need to be connected in thehouse should be put into ‘Learn Mode’ by slidingthe switch on the back of the alarm to the ‘LearnMode’ position.The red LED will light up to indicate that ‘LearnMode’ has been selected.Please note that when the alarms are placedin ‘Learn Mode’ they can’t be inserted into themounting base.Do not take out the battery during ‘Learn Mode’ asthis will interrupt the learn process.Press and hold the test button at one alarm only,until it beeps and the LED flashes. This alarm willbecome the master and will start sending out aspecific house code to the other alarms.As the other alarms receive the specific housecode, they will also flash the LED light.When the red LED light flashes on all alarms,they are connected and MUST BE SWITCHEDOUT OF ‘LEARN MODE’ and installed.Label the original “Learn” alarm in order to easilyadd new CAVIUS Wireless Family alarms to thesystem.2. THE BEST AREAS TO INSTALL THE HEATALARM:• Areas not suitable for smoke alarms due to highrisk of false alarms• Kitchen area• Bathroom• Garage or workshopAdditional alarms increase the security.3. AREAS WHERE NOT TO INSTALL HEAT-ALARMS:• In rooms where the temperature goes outside-10ºC to +50ºC.• Bedrooms• Lounge• Dining room• Hallway• Family roomNOTE: In areas where smoldering fires occurover flaming fires, photoelectric smoke alarmsare still the best to be installed.4. PLACEMENT:The heat alarm is design to be installed on a ceilingor wall. Do not install to close to the oven/hob/stove (see drawing).For wall installation:For celling installation:5.
