In case of doubt, do notuse the appliance and seek the advice of a qualifiedservice professional.• Packaging materials (plastic bags, foam polystyrene,etc.) should not be left within the reach of children asthis could be a potential source of danger.• This appliance is to be utilised for domestic use only.Any other use is to be considered improper andtherefore, dangerous.• The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damagederived from improper use.• Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.• The appliance is not intended for use by youngchildren or infirm persons without supervision.• Young children should be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the appliance.• In case of breakdown or malfunctioning, turn off theappliance immediately and do not touch it. Forrepairs, please contact a Service Centre authorisedby the manufacturer and request the use of originalreplacement parts only. The lack of respect for thispoint may compromise the safe use of the appliance.• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced bythe manufacturer, its service agent or similarlyqualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.• When the appliance is not in use, turn off anddisconnect the plug from the socket.• As with any electrical appliance, whilst theinstructions aim to cover as many eventualities aspossible, caution and common sense should beapplied when operating your appliance, particularlyin the vicinity of young children.IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OFTHE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE2002/96/EC.At the end of its working life, the product mustnot be disposed of as urban waste.It must be taken to a special local authoritydifferentiated waste collection centre or to adealer providing this service.Disposing of a household applianceseparately avoids possible negativeconsequences for the environment and healthderiving from inappropriate disposal and enables theconstituent materials to be recovered to obtain significantsavings in energy and resources.As a reminder of the need todispose of household appliances separately, the product ismarked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.INSTALLATION• Place the coffee maker on flat work surface at a safedistance from taps and sinks.• Check that the voltage corresponds to that indicated onthe appliance rating plate. The appliance must alwaysbe connected to a well-earthed socket rated at 10 Aminimum. The manufacturer is not liable for damagecaused by inadequate earthing of the appliance.• In the event of incompatibility between the plug on theappliance and the socket, have the plug replaced withanother of the right type by a qualified professional.If the cable is damaged or requires replacing,contact a service centre authorised by themanufacturer only.• Never install the machine in an environment that canreach a temperature less than or equal to 0°C (if thewater in it freezes, the coffee maker may be damaged).• When the machine is in operation, any additionalcable can be stored in the machine by inserting itback into the cable supply outlet.• In the event of breakdowns or malfunctioning, do nottamper with the appliance and switch it off byunplugging it.GB12 |
