7IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDSRead all this manual thoroughly before using theappliance. This is the only way to ensure the bestresults and maximum safety for the user. Save theseinstructions for future reference.• The appliance must not be modified in anyway, as any modifications may be extremelydangerous.• The appliance must be installed in conformitywith national legislation regulating electricalequipment.• Before using the appliance, check that themains supply voltage corresponds to the volta-ge indicated on the rating plate.Connect the appliance to an efficiently earthedpower supply and sockets with a minimum cur-rent rating of 10A only.• If the socket and the plug of the appliance areincompatible, the socket should be changed bya qualified professional only.• The manufacturer cannot be consideredresponsible for damage caused by the absen-ce of an earth connection on the power supplyline.If in doubt, consult a qualified professional.• If the power cable is damaged, it must bereplaced by the manufacturer or the manufac-turer's Customer Services in order to avoid allrisk.• This appliance must be used exclusively byadults.• Never allow the appliance to be used by per-sons (including children) with psychological,physical or sensory impairments or with insuf-ficient knowledge, unless closely supervisedand instructed by someone responsible fortheir safety.Children must be supervised to ensure they donot play with the appliance.• After removing the packing, make sure theappliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do notuse the appliance and contact a qualified pro-fessional.• Do not leave packaging (plastic bags, polysty-rene foam, etc) within reach of children as itcould be dangerous.• The materials used for packaging can be recy-cled.You are therefore recommended to dispose ofthem in special differentiated waste collectioncontainers.Do not use an extension cable.• Do not install the appliance in rooms contai-ning gas, oil or sulphur. Do not install nearsources of heat.• Keep the appliance at least 50 cm away fromflammable substances (alcohol etc) or pressuri-sed containers (e.g. aerosol cans).• Do not rest heavy or hot objects on top of theappliance.• This appliance is intended for household useonly. It must not be used outdoors.Any other use is considered improper and thusdangerous.• The manufacturer is not liable for damage cau-sed by inappropriate, incorrect or irresponsi-ble use or for damage resulting from repairscarried out by unqualified personnel.Important:• The appliance must not be laid on its side orturned upside down.• Wait at least 1 hour after transporting theappliance before starting it.• Do not leave the selector in the positionfor more than 1 minute.• After the compressor goes off, always wait atleast 5 minutes before starting it again.• Use the appliance away from heat sources.Leave at least 20 cm between the applianceand walls or objects which could obstruct freeair circulation.• Do not remove the lid while the dasher ismoving.The use of all electrical appliances implies theobservance of some fundamental rules. In particu-lar:• Never touch the appliance with wet or damphands or feet. Never immerse the appliance inwater.• Never use the appliance in bathrooms.• Do not pull the power cable.• Before cleaning or servicing, disconnect theappliance by unplugging from the mains.• In the event of malfunction or faulty operation,switch off and do not attempt to repair.For all repairs contact the manufacturer’sauthorised Customer Services only and ask fororiginal spare parts.Failure to respect the above could reduce thesafety of the appliance.• When the appliance is to be discarded, afterunplugging from the mains, the cable shouldbe cut to make the appliance unusable.• Unplug the appliance when not in use.Do not leave plugged in unnecessarily.• At the end of its working life, take the applian-ce to a specialist waste collection centre.Materials and accessories coming into contact withfood conform to EEC directive 1935/2004.This appliance also complies with the relevant ECdirectives, including on radio interference suppres-sion.GB |
