The intended use is for thepatient to be in a sitting or supine position. Ambulatingwhile wearing the orthosis may cause it to migratedown the leg, making the unit ineffective.IMPORTANT: Before applying the orthosis, disengagethe gearing mechanism by pulling out the engagementknob (1) and at the same time pivot the positionadjustment knob (2) back toward the hip. The hingeshould move freely.1. Sizing and Moldingthe Thigh and CalfCuffs: Trim the panelsof the middle thighcuff (3) equally fromeach side so the cuffsdo not overlap when on the patient. Trim the calf cuff(4) so the sides of the cuff do not overlap when onthe patient. Note: The blue foam liner should extend1/2" beyond the white Wire-Foam™.
