Dell™ PowerVault™ MD1120 SystemsInformation UpdateInconsistent Temperature Threshold Informationin Split-Mode ConfigurationWhen two servers are connected to a Dell™ PowerVault™MD1120 System insplit-mode configuration, changing the temperature warning threshold values onthe MD1120 from one server does not propagate the change to the other server'sDell OpenManage™ Server Administrator Storage Management (OMSM)console.WorkaroundRebooting both servers will cause new threshold values to display properly.No Warning of Failed EMM in OMSMUnder unique circumstances, a failed Enclosure Management Module (EMM)may not be reported in OMSM. If configured for redundancy, a failed EMM willnot interfere with normal SAS I/O operations. Enclosure management functionswill failover to the redundant EMM.WorkaroundIf an EMM failure occurs, the shelf fault LED and EMM fault LED on thestorage enclosure will be lit. Use the LEDs to properly identify an EMM faultcondition.April 2008 |
