These are general instructionsthat cover several similar models, sodon’t be alarmed if parts are displayedthat are not included in the unit youpurchased.TOOLS REQUIREDYou will need a pair of pliers, a piece ofcloth, six inches of plumber tape, and alarge towel.IMPORTANTn Always protect the finish of parts witha heavy cloth when using pliers or awrench.n Align threads properly whenassembling components to avoiddamaging or stripping threads.n Suggestion: Place a towel on thebottom of the tub beneath the oldshower head. If you accidentally dropsomething this can help avoid losingit down the drain or chipping the finishof your tub.REMOVE THE EXISTINGSHOWER HEADYour goal is to unscrew the existingshower head withoutunscrewing orrotating the showerarm that it isattached to. Yourexisting showerhead will un-screwCOUNTERCLOCKWISE.Note: If your shower arm has a ballon the end, it will not work with thisshower unit and will need to bereplaced with a standard shower arm.We suggest a Delta® model RP40593.After removing theshower head clean thethreads of the showerarm with a piece ofcloth or wire brush ifnecessary. Then wrap the six inches ofplumber tape around the threads of theshower arm in a CLOCKWISE manner.Be careful to stretch the tape into thegrooves of the threads.
