-Operating Manualfor Dermalux® Checkbox Multimedia (mains version)Dear customer,here are some application references which you should pay attention to while operating theDermalux® Checkbox.Using the Dermalux® Checkbox (mains version) for the first timeNever switch on the unit without fluorescent tubes. To operate the unit on the mains, insert thepower supply plug (230 V/12V) into the mains socket. Then insert the 12V-pluginto the socket located on the rear of the unit next to the switch. To ensure that the plug is fittedcorrectly, use gentle pressure to continue pushing it through the small level of resistance. Afteractuating the switch, the Dermalux® Checkbox is operational once the indicator lamp located onthe unit lights up.Operation as a battery versionNever switch on the unit without fluorescent tubes. If you have bought the battery version of theDermalux® Checkbox, the battery pack will already be in the relevant battery compartment on therear of the unit. First proceed as for the mains version. For battery operation, however, the unitmust be connected to the mains for at least 12 hours before being used for the first time. The unitmust not be switched on during this period. It is also possible to operate the unit from the mainsstraight away. Please ensure that the battery is maintained. It should not remain unused forlonger than 4-6 weeks.Recharging the batteryConnect the power pack to the mains socket for at least 8 hours. The electronic charging systemwill take care of everything else, including preventing an overcharge. After this period, yourDermalux® Checkbox will be ready for operation for another 3 hours approx. when disconnectedfrom the mains.Maintenance/cleaning of the unitPlease do not use any solvent-based cleaning agents to remove Dermalux® test product residuefrom the surface of the box.LampsThe unit is fitted with two fluorescent lamps of type T5 8W/BLB and must only be operated withthis type of lamp. These lamps are black light lamps with a general missions range of 320 nm ̧400 nm (UV-A), max. 365 nm. Eff. illumination intensity UV-A (0.5m) ̃ 1.2 W/m² |
