Bolted Swivel Mount Assemble jack as shown inthe parts drawing making sure that the protrusionin the center of the clover washer enters the centerhole in the swivel plate. Printing on the swivel bracketwasher should not be visible after assembly. Tightennuts evenly.Snap Ring Swivel Mount Assemble jack as shownin the parts drawing and install retaining ring withsnap ring pliers. Make certain that snap ring issecurely seated in groove.6800 SERIES SWIVEL JACKASSEMBLYMinimal maintenance is required to keep your tonguejack looking new and in good working order. Protectthe finish by keeping it clean and periodically apply-ing a coating of wax. Lubrication is needed if thejack ever feels rough or produces a grinding noisewhen cranked. With weight off the jack, removethe plastic end cap. Remove pin (1) holding handlein place. Carefully remove the bevel gear (2) ontop of screw. Remove dowel pin (3) located underbevel gear. Carefully remove inner tube assembly.Do not attempt to remove screw from inner tube.Lubricate screw by working grease into entire thread.Reassemble and grease bevel gears.MAINTENANCEBolt-on Place jack on trailer tongue in a locationthat avoids interference with the boat, trailer and towvehicle during all conditions of use. Make sure thejack cannot contact the tow vehicle when makingtight turns. Tighten all bolts evenly.Weld-on Weld on jack brackets need to be installedby a competent welder. Determine location perinstruction above.After bracket is painted, assemble jack according tothe parts drawing and assembly instructions above.Note that bolts (YY) are self-threading and requireconsiderable installation force.MOUNTINGCheck for full engagement of the swivel handle intothe swivel plate before every use of the jack.WARNING Use of a swivel type jack withoutthe swivel handle completely engaged couldresult in the trailer tongue suddenly droppingand could cause personal injury.OPERATIONWARNING READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL,OPERATE OR SERVICE THIS JACK. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULTIN SERIOUS INJURY. RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.When jack reaches either end of its travel do notforce handle or damage to the jack will result. Whenmoving trailer by hand, crank jack to lowest posi-tion. Do not use the jack as a convenient hand hold.Avoid rolling jack over rough or soft surfaces. Beforetowing the trailer, pivot the jack to horizontal positionand be certain swivel handle is engaged.CAUTION Loads in excess of rating shownon jack label will cause accelerated wear andpossible failure. This jack is not for highwayuse.
