ConnectionsKey ‘SQ’ (<) - press the ‘SQ’ (<) key for 1 second to access the ‘configuration menu’.Inside the menu, the ‘SQ’ (<) key functions as a ‘ENTER’ key. It selects and accessesthe menu option currently displayed. At menus with numerical value entries, it vali-dates the number displayed.Key ‘UP’ (5) - the ‘UP’ (5) key gives access to the ‘fast access’ menu. Inside themenus, it moves vertically through the different menu options. At menus with numeri-cal value entries, it modifies the digit selected by increasing its value to 0, 1, 2, 3, 4,5, 6, 7, 8, 9.Key ‘LE’ (3) - inside the menus, the ‘LE’ (3) key functions as the ‘ESCAPE’ key. Itleaves the selected menu, and eventually, will leave the whole menu. When leavingthe ‘configuration menu’ with the ‘LE’ (3) key, the changed parameters are activated.At menus with numerical value entries, the ‘LE’ (3) key allows to select the activedigit. To modify the value of the selected digit use the ‘UP’ (5) key.Menu ‘Rollback’After 30 seconds without interaction from the operator, the instrument will rollbackand leave the ‘configuration menu’ or the ‘fast access’ menu. All changes will be dis-carded.ExampleThe menu example indicated below is for information purposes only, and may notmatch the actual menu of the instrument.InputExample of operation inside the ‘configu-ration menu’.1. The ‘SQ’ (<) key enters into the ‘con-figuration menu’.2. The ‘SQ’ (<) key enters into the ‘InP’option menu.3. The ‘UP’ (5) key moves through themenu options.4. Configuration exampleA flow sensor provides ‘NPN’ impulses, with a frequency proportional to the instantflow, with a ‘K factor’ value of ‘1.241804’ [impulses / liter].Configure the instrument to read the instant flow in [m3/hour] with 1 decimal point,and the total flow accumulated in [gallons] with 2 decimal points.By default instant flow must be on display, and access to the total flow value will bedone by activating the rear connector terminal.Reset of the total flow will be performed by pressing the front key left ‘LE’ (3).1. Instrument main configurationAt the ‘Instrument configuration’ (‘c.InS’) section :• at ‘Main instrument’ (‘MAIn’) select ‘rAtE’• at ‘Sensor’ (‘SnSr’) select ‘NPN’• at ‘‘K’ Decimal point’ (‘K.dP’) select ‘X.xxxxx’• at ‘‘K’ Factor’ (‘K.Ftr’) configure ‘1.24180’ (the last digit ‘4’ of the ‘K factor’ can notbe introduced)Validate changes and exit the ‘configuration menu’. At this moment, the instrument isconfigured and reads instant flow meter, in [liters/second].3. Scale the instant flow value to the desired units [m3/hour]At the ‘Instant flow configuration’ (‘c.rAt’) section :• at ‘Time Base (Multiplier)’ (‘tIME’) configure ‘3600’ (3600 seconds in 1 hour)• at ‘Divider’ (‘dIV’) configure ‘1000’ (1000 liters in 1 m3)• at ‘Resolution’ (‘rESL’) select ‘XXXXX.x’Validate changes and exit the ‘configuration menu’. At this moment, the instrument isconfigured and reads instant flow, in [m3/hour], with 1 decimal.4. Scale the total flow value to the desired units [gallons]Relation between liters and gallons is 1 liter = 0.2642 gallons.At the ‘Total flow configuration’ (‘c.tot’) section :• at ‘Multiplier’ (‘MuLt’) configure ‘2642’• at ‘Divider’ (‘dIV’) configure ‘10000’The total scaling factor is ‘2642’ / ‘10000’ = ‘0.2642’• at ‘Resolution’ (‘rESL’) select ‘XXXX.xx’Validate changes and exit the ‘configuration menu’. At this moment, the instrumentis configured and reads total flow in [gallons], with 2 decimals. To read the total ac-cumulated flow on display, close the rear contact ‘contact 1’.5. Configure ‘Key Left’ (3) to reset the total flow valueAt the ‘Key Left’ (‘K.LE’) section :• at ‘Reset ‘total’’ (‘rSt.t’) select ‘on’Validate changes and exit the configuration menu. At this moment, the total flow val-ue will reset to ‘0’ when the key ‘LE’ (3) is pressed.This instrument conforms to the actual CE regulations.
