Wire sizemust conform to the National Electrical Code or the prevailing localcode. The lightstays on until the filters are replaced. If the lights stay onand the filters are in, adjust the right side filter in place.Then the timer resets automatically.10 Indicates the time the fan is set to run11 Fan operating symbolhAlOgEN lAMPSThe four halogen lamps are the push-in type rated at 120V and25 watts with a G-9 base.TO ChANgE ThE lAMPSFIlTER MICROSwITChA microswitch is mounted in the filter channel on the right side. Itsenses when filters are removed. The red display light glows whenthe filter is removed, if the filter is not making contact with the switch,or after 30 hours of fan operation to remind the user to clean thefilters. Make sure the filter is seated properly when installed and thefilter light is not on.TO REMOVE ANd REPlACE FIlTER MICROSwITChRemove 2 screws and lift out the switch. The harness is connectedto the PCB assembly. Refer to the schematic to locate anddisconnect the control CN7.ACCESS TO lIghTINg,blOwER ANd wIRINg1. Remove metal grease filters.2. Remove charcoal filters(if present).TO ACCESS ThE uSER INTERFACE ASSEMblYRemove 2 thumbscrews holding the control bracket plate. Removethe plate.Remove 2 screws thatsecure the control behindthe front glass.Remove the interfaceassembly by unpluggingthe ribbon harnessconnector from thecontrol PCB.IMPORTANT: Beforereplacing the assembly,check the operation of thehood by plugging the newUser Interface Assemblycable into connectorCNII on the Control PCB.If the unit does not work,replace the control boardfirst and then recheckwhether the existing userinterface assembly is OK.Reverse these steps toreinstall the User InterfaceAssembly.TO REPlACE A hAlOgEN lAMPASSEMblYReach inside the chassis and presswith fingers against the metal springclips. Pull the lamp assembly outand disconnect the wire connector.TO ACCESS ElECTRICAl COMPONENTS:1. Remove two screws from top duct cover at ceiling and slide topcover down.2. Lift and remove both duct covers. Set covers aside.uSER INTERFACE ASSEMblYThe replacement assembly has three PCBs mounted in a plasticenclosure with eight push buttons and a ribbon cable with ferritebead looped through the other end of the cable ribbon. It consistsof the Fan Touch Control PCB, Lamp Touch Control PCB and theDisplay PCB.CAuTION: Components are electrically hOT onthe electronic control when voltage is connected to the hood.Junction boxServicemanualBulbTabUse glovesor clothReceptacle use a new 120-volt,25-watt halogen lampwith a g-9 base. donot substitute otherlamps.Replace lens cover.
