Use Chart A below to find your opener/specification combination and then proceed to an availableprogramming method. ALL combinations shown can be programmed using the CLONING METHOD.NOTE: During programming, the garage door opener will operate. Press the LEARN button on the garage door opener for 2-3 seconds and then release.2. Press and release the pre-set button or the button you just programmed slowly and deliberatelyseveral times until the garage door opener operates. Let it run until it stops.3. Press the LEARN button again on the garage door opener for 2-3 seconds and then release.4. Press and release the button you just programmed slowly and deliberately several times until thegarage door opener operates again. Let it run until it stops. Programming is complete.OPTION 3: CLONING METHODThe Genie universal remote can clone an existing operational remote for any of the garage dooropener brands/specification combinations listed in Chart A.PUT THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE INTO CLONING MODE & SELECT A BUTTON1. Place the original remote and the Genie universal remote within 2” - 4” of each other.2. Press and hold down the Genie universal remote button #1.3. While still holding down button #1, press the universal remote button #2 - four times.4. Release both buttons.The WHITE LED on the remote will begin flashing. You will have 20 seconds to complete your entry.5. Hold down the existing operational button on the original remote until the new universal remoteblinks change from slow WHITE BLINKS to rapid BLUE blinks.6. Once the universal remote BLUE LED is blinking rapidly, press the button of choice on theuniversal remote slowly and deliberately. The LED will turn solid and then go out.PROGRAMMING THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE TO THE OPENER1. Press the LEARN button on the garage door opener for 2-3 seconds and then release.2. The blue LED will givea long blink and then go out. For the ‘LEARN METHOD’ and the ‘CLONING METHOD’, this will clear anyexisting programming and return the remote to its original factory default settings. For the pre-setbuttons that have been learned to an opener already, you must clear these in the same manner youwould clear original transmitters from the head.
