INTRODUCTIONThis flanged, industrial refrigeration duty solenoidvalve is very simple and compact but rugged inconstruction. Body is plated steel alloy with adirect lifting stainless steel plunger that containsa teflon seat that closes on a stainless steelorifice. When electrically energized, seat openswide; when de-energized, it closes to stop flowin the arrow direction on the valve body.APPLICATIONSThis small, direct lifting valve is used primarilyas a pilot for various larger gas-powered orliquid powered main valves, as a remote pilotfor back pressure regulators or other devices,or as a liquid stop valve for expansion valves, float valves, or as a general purpose pilot line forammonia, R22, R134a, CO2 and other approvedrefrigerants or oil.MAXIMUM RATINGS, AMMONIALiquid, Receiver Pressure: 15 Tons (52 kW)Flow Factor: Cv=0.41 (Kv=0.35)ADDITIONAL FEATURESEncapsulated Hansen standard coil300 psi (20 bar) MOPDAvailable close-coupled strainerHeavy-duty, direct liftCSA Certified StatusNon-asbestos gasketsKEY FEATURESMATERIAL SPECIFICATIONSBody: Steel, platedSolenoid Tube: Stainless steelPlunger: Stainless steelSeat Orifice: Stainless steelSeat: TeflonSafe Working Pressure: 400 psig (27 bar),600 psig (40 bar) available for CO2Operating Temperature: -60ºF to 240ºF(-50ºC to 115ºC)REMOVABLESOLENOID TUBETEFLON DISCSTAINLESS STEELSEATMANUAL OPENINGSTEMSpecifications, Applications,Service Instructions & PartsHS6SOLENOID VALVE5/32” (4 mm) PORTBulletin S117cMAR 2006Flanged1/4” thru 3/4”(7 mm thru 20 mm)for refrigerantsHS6 Solenoid Valvewith Close-Coupled ST050 Strainer
