To install the software, pleasefollow these instructions. If you haveany questions, consult our Web site atwww.harmankardon.com.Important Note:This software is specially designed for usewith Harman Kardon AVR 247 and AVR 347receivers. Use with any other models orbrands may cause damage to the product.DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE WITH ANYOTHER PRODUCTS.System RequirementsTo install the software upgrade, you will need topurchase a standard RS-232 connection cable.Do not use a “null modem” cable, as it uses connec-tion links that are not compatible with your AVR.If the computer you plan to use for the upgradeis not equipped with a serial port, we have foundthat many name-brand USB-to-serial-port adapterswill provide the needed connection. We cannotguarantee that all such adapters will work. You will also need to have access to a computerthat is close enough to be connected to theAVR being upgraded.
