Electric StrikeES150 - InstructionsTECHNICAL INFORMATIONRed coil cables 12vDC +/- 15% 243mABlue coil cables 24vDC +/- 15% 187mAAs the ES150 strike will normally be used on a mainexit door, we would recommend that the strike is usedin the Fail Safe (PTL) configuration. However, theES150 can be converted from Fail Safe (PTL) to FailSecure (PTO) mode. Simply remove the 2 xcrosshead screws on the side of the housing, securingthe mechanism to the body, and depress the strikejaw. Slide the strike mechanism out from the back ofthe housing. NOTE: IF THE STRIKE IS ALREADYCONFIGURED FOR FAIL SECURE OPERATION(PTO) YOU WILL NEED TO POWER THE STRIKETO ENABLE ROTATION OF THE STRIKE JAW.With the mechanism out of the housing, remove thescrew from the top of the strike to permit removal ofthe spring and 3 locking pins (1 x long & 2 x short).It is the placement of these pins in the strike bodythat will determine the mode of operation. Re-insertpins and spring in the order required (refer to theillustrations for guidance). Re-insert brass screw.Apply power to the strike if required, depress thestrike jaw and re-insert the mechanism into thehousing. Replace the 2 x crosshead screws.Replacement pins and spring kit available.General Installation Instructions1 It is important to note that all rebate strips and/orframe stops are to be fitted before installing thestrike.2 Check with a suitable meter that the power supplyor controller being used to operate the strike canprovide the required voltage within a +/- 15%tolerance, and that the voltage can be maintainedduring operation under all circumstances.WARNING - CONNECTION OF ANINCORRECT VOLTAGE MAY RESULT INDAMAGE NOT COVERED BY THE PRODUCTWARRANTY.3 These strikes have been designed for use inweather protected areas and under normalcircumstances they do not require anymaintenance.
