Installation InstructionsMODEL LS-HCLimit -Stat™Single Stage (1H/1C)Non-Programmable Thermostat1. THERMOSTAT DETAILS2. MOUNTING AND WIRINGElectric Heat or Single StageHeat Pump SystemsThis thermostat is configured from the factory to operatea heat/cool, fossil fuel (gas, oil, etc.), forced air system. Itis configured correctly for any system that DOES NOTrequire the thermostat to energize the fan on a call forheat. If your system is an electric furnace thatREQUIRES the thermostat to turn on the fan set theELECTRIC/GAS switch to the electric position. (SeeThermostat Details) This will allow the thermostat toenergize the fan immediately on a call for heat.WARNINGDo not use on circuits exceeding specifiedvoltage. Higher voltage will damage controland could cause shock or fire hazard.Do not short out terminals on gas valve orprimary control to test. Short or incorrectwiring will damage thermostat and couldcause personal injury and/or propertydamage.Thermostat installation and all components ofthe system shall confirm to Class II circuitsper the NEC code.Patent PendingAttaching Thermostat Base to Wall1. Disrupt power to HVAC equipment.2. Remove the packing material from the thermostat.Gently pull the cover straight off the subbase. Forcing orprying on the thermostat will cause damage to the unit.Confirm that the ELECTRIC/GAS Switch is in the properposition.3. Connect thermostat wires to proper terminals on thesubbase (see Typical Wiring Diagrams).4. Level and mount thermostat subbase to wall usinganchors and mounting screws provided.5. Snap cover back in place.6. Reapply power to HVAC equipment.3.
