It is best tomake sure you have everything you need before you start.Disconnect BatteryDisconnect the negative (-) battery cable before starting the installation. Checkthe battery ground (there should be two (2) ground wires coming from thebattery – one going to the starter mounting bolt or engine block and anothergoing to the vehicle chassis) and make sure the battery is grounded to thechassis with at least a #4 gauge wire. Also check the alternator connections, making sure they are tight and free from corrosion, rust or dirt.Location and MountingThe amplifier’s compact design allows great flexibility in mounting. Commonmounting locations include under the front passenger seat or in the trunk area. When selecting a location, remember that amplifiers generate heat. Select alocation on a flat surface away from heat and moisture where air can circulatearound the amplifier.Recommended Power Wire SizePower Terminal (+12V) and Ground Terminal (Gnd)Connect the main power wire to the battery, within 18 inches from the positive(+) battery post, use an adequate size fuse or circuit breaker capable ofhandling the current of the selected power wire. A fuse or circuit breaker mustbe installed to prevent a possible electrical fire should the main power wireshort to ground.POWER INPUTGND REM +12VFuse or Circuit BreakerInstall as close to thebattery as possible.Battery TerminalAdapterMake the ground lead as short as possible, leaving enough length to completethe installation. To ensure a good ground, scrape away any paint orundercoating to expose bare metal. Use a "ring" terminal of the proper gaugeand an "outside star washer" (between the chassis and ring terminal) whenmaking your ground connection.Drill hole in chassisRemote Terminal (Turn-On)Connect the power antenna or amplifier turn-on lead (Switched +12VDC)from the receiver to the amplifier remote terminal.POWER INPUTGND REM +12VRemote Turn-On (Power Antenna) From Head Unit ReceiverBALTSU B-WMO NOAS /PSDIS PLOC/DX 12INT5 6BAND SCAN i EQMUTEMODE3RPT4SHFC D2620DNUPiBAX- SSCHANGER40 WA TT Sx4JPTHCDAU-R/R WiEIN XQ4AU XCD RECE IV ERELRFADEBASSREBVOLDrill hole in chassis sheet metal.Note: Complete amplifier operation manuals are online atwww.jensenmobile.comAll manuals and user guides at all-guides.comall-guides.com
