LaTrax Alias Transmitter Operating Instructions Manual
This transmitter operates the LaTrax Alias helicopter only. This transmitter is not meant for, and will not operate, other LaTrax models or non-LaTraxmodels. Carefully read and follow all instructions in this and any accompanying materials.This instruction sheet does not cover transmitter adjustments, flight controls, or the operation of your model. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for fullinstructions. You can download your Owner’s Manual, as well as the manuals for all LaTrax vehicles, at LaTrax.com.Battery InstallationFour AAA alkaline batteries are required (A). The battery compartment is marked with + and – symbols to indicatecorrect battery placement. For maximum performance and life, use genuine Traxxas Power Cell alkaline batteries.Binding the Transmitter and HelicopterThe transmitter has a model memory feature, which allows it to bind to and store up to 10 models at a time.When you bind an eleventh helicopter to the transmitter, it will automatically delete the least recently usedmodel from its memory. Follow these steps to bind the helicopter to the transmitter:1. Push in and hold the AUX2 button.2. While holding the AUX2 button (B), turn the transmitter on. The LED on the transmitter will blink green,and the LCD will display rotating segments.3. Release the AUX2 button.4. Connect a charged battery to the helicopter.5. Wait 10 seconds for the helicopter to enter Bind Mode. The LED on the helicopter will begin to blinkrapidly for 1 minute.6. When binding is complete, the LEDs on the helicopter and on the transmitter will turn solid, and the LCDon the transmitter will display the Disarmed Flight Screen (C).Linking the Transmitter and HelicopterWhen you are ready to fly the helicopter, you must first establish a link between the transmitter and thehelicopter. Please note that the helicopter and transmitter should have been previously bound. Follow thesesteps to link the helicopter to the transmitter:1. Turn the transmitter on. The LED will turn solid and the LCD will display the Disarmed Flight Screen (C).2. Connect a charged battery to the helicopter. The transmitter will detect the previously bound helicopterand complete the link. The end user is responsible for the cost of shipping orreturning a defective transmitter from you to us.Limitations of LiabilityThis product is warranted against defects in original material andworkmanship only. No term warranty is offered with this product. LaTraxmakes no other warranties expressed or implied. LaTrax shall not be liablefor any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising outof the assembly, installation, or use of their products or any accessory orchemical required to use their products. The term“lifetime” shall refer to the product’s production life at LaTrax.
