Part 1:3 Safety In -structions. Part 2:3 User Guide. Part 3:3 Technical Data andDeclaration.Warnings This machine has been designed for use withcleaning agents supplied or recommended by Nilfisk. The useof other cleaning agents or chemicals may adversely affectthe safety of the machine. High pressure jetscan be dangerous if subject to misuse. The jet mustnot be directed at persons, live electrical equipmentor the machine itself. Do not use the machinewithin range of persons unless they wear protective clothes.Do not direct the jet against yourself or others in order toclean footwear. Risk of explosion – Do not spray flamma-ble liquids. High pressure washers shall not be used bychildren or untrained personnel. High pressure hoses,fittings and couplings are important for the safety of the ma-chine. Use only hoses, fittings and couplings recommendedby Nilfisk. To ensure machine safety, use only originalspare parts recommended by Nilfisk. Water that has flownthrough back-flow preventers is considered to be non-potable.Don’t use the machine if a supply cord or important partsof the machine are damaged, e.g. safety devices, high pres-sure hoses, trigger gun. Inadequate extension cords canbe dangerous. If an extension cord is used, it shall be suitablefor outdoor use, and the connection has to be kept dry andoff the ground. It is recommended that this is accomplishedby a cord reel which keeps the socket at least 60 mm abovethe ground. Switch off and unplug the machine whenleaving it unattended, when finished using it or when convert-ing it to another function, when doing repair and maintenance.During use of high pressure washers, aerosols may beformed. Inhalation of aerosols can be hazardous to health, forthe protection against aerosols a respiratory mask of classFFP 2 or equivalent may be needed, depending on the clean-ing environment.Intended Use and Terms of Liability The TITAN X-TRAhas been developed for domestic cleaning purposes only andfor use in an upright position. Any other use is considered asimproper use. ● A high pressure washer operates with differentlevels of pressure and cleaning detergents for various cleaningtasks and results. Always follow instructions on detergents foruse, emergency and disposal. ● Do not operate the machineat temperatures below 0°C. Never start a frozen machine,never use it indoor and never cover it during use. This is con-sidered improper and wrongful use. Use of wrongful pressure,detergent and/or applications may cause damage to machine,surfaces, material and devices. All of the above is consideredimproper and wrongful use. Nilfisk accepts no liability for anydamage resulting from any improper or wrongful use. Pleaserefer to our website at www.get-started.nilfisk.com for furtherinstructions and information on use, emergency and disposal.Safety devices and their functioning The machine automa-tically stops when releasing the trigger. The machine will startagain when reactivating the trigger. The spray handle featuresa locking device. When activated, the spray handle cannot beoperated. The machine has an automatic self-resetting thermoprotector. If the machine is overheated, the thermo protectorwill cut the power supply. In this case, wait for the machine tocool down. An integrated hydraulic safety valve protects thesystem from excessive pressure.Precautions The electric supply connection shall be madeby a qualified electrician and comply with IEC 60364-1.
