1. Setting up your phoneYour phone already has a SIM card installedOptional: Insert the microSD card1. With the phone’s screen facing up, insert the toolthat came with your phone into the hole on the SIM/microSD card tray to partially eject the tray. Then,carefully pull the card tray out.2. Insert the microSD card with the gold contactsfacing down and toward the phone (as shownbelow).3. Carefully insert the card tray back into the slotand close it.Note: The microSD card is sold separately.Use only compatible memory cards approved foruse with this device. Incompatible cards may dam-age the card and the device and corrupt data storedon the card.Important: Do not remove the memory cardwhen an app is using it. Doing so may damage thememory card and the device and corrupt datastored on the card.2. Charge your phonePlug a compatible charger into a wall outlet, andconnect the cable to your phone. Your phone sup-ports the USB micro-B cable.If the battery is completely discharged, it may takeseveral minutes before the charging indicator is dis-played.To switch your phone on, press and hold the powerkey until the phone vibrates. The phone guides youthrough the setup.If you have backed up your old phone’s contents toyour Google account, you can copy them to yournew phone: tap Settings > Accounts > Add account> Google, enter your account details, and selectwhich data you want to restore on your new phone.The content sync starts automatically once yourphone is connected to the internet.To lock the phone, press the Power/Lock key.
