The information contained in this section issupplementary to the descriptive and maintenancepractices.1.02 Reason for Reissue: to add new and revisedinformation.1.03 The DMS-1 system normally operatesautomatically. The monitor and alarm circuitswithin the system detect and indicate any degradationin performanceorany equipment failure. When thesystem is functioning correctly and all input signalsarepresent, there are no visualoraudible alarms.When the system detects trouble, office alarms,remote alarms, and equipment alarms are activated.1.04 The indicators on the faceplatesofthe alarmcircuit packs (Fig. 1 and 2) are used as af~rststep in fault location. The functionsoftheseindicators are described in 363-2011-500.1.05 Controlsonthe faceplates are used foradjustments, system testing, and faultlocation.2. ALARMS2.01 MostRCTalarms are displayedontheQPP420 ALMREMcircuitp_ack(Fig. 1).The Remote Concentrator Terminal (RCT) alarmsarealso transmittedtothe Control ConcentratorTerminal (CCT) and displayed on the QPP421ALARMOFFICEcircuit pack together withCCTalarms.
