1 Computer Communication ProblemsAdditional OkiLANÆ 510wTroubleshootingComputer Communication Problems Basic: Of the computers connected to the same network, some cancommunicate and some cannot.Possible Cause Suggested Solution(s)The setup of the wirelesscomputer in the Ad-Hocmode is incorrect.1. Record the wireless settings (SSID,authentication encryption setting, and channel)and the network settings (IP address, subnetmask and default gateway) of the computerthat cannot communicate.2. Compare them to the equivalent settings for awireless computer that can communicate.3. Change the settings for thenon-communicating computer to match thoseof the communicating computer.The wired network setup ofthe computer in theInfrastructure mode isincorrect.1. Check the difference between the networksettings (IP address, subnet mask and defaultgateway) of the computer that cannotcommunicate and the settings of the computerthat can communicate.2. Change the nework settings of thenon-communicating computer to match thoseof the communicating computer.There is a failure in the LANcable or hub connecting tothe computer in theInfrastructure mode.Check the LAN cable and hub connected to thecomputer that cannot communicate. Replacethem if necessary.The 'IP Filtering' setting ofthe printer is incorrect.Change the printerís 'IP Filtering' setting to enableconnection.Note: You must change the 'IP Filtering' settingfor the wired LAN interface and the wireless LANcard separately.
