Refrigerating Specialties Division 1BULLETIN DN23-09February 2002Installation and Service InformationA4AOT-DNA4AT-DNTEMPERATURE COMPENSATEDPRESSURE REGULATORSTYPE A4AT-DN, A4AOT-DNPort Size 3/4" - 4" (20 - 100 mm)For Ammonia, R22, R134a, R404a R507Other Refrigerants and OilsFEATURES• Pilot operated characterized Modulating Plugfor precise control• Suitable for all common refrigerants andmineral oil• 362 psig (25 bar) design pressure (PS)• Flanges for threaded or welded steel pipeand copper tube (copper not for ammonia)• Unique Modular construction• Interchangeable parts• Close coupled strainers, optional• Many control variations are possible withthe use of a few modules and kits• Stainless Steel Diaphragm• Manual Opening Stem• Complies with Pressure Equipment Directive97/23/ECDescription:These compact, heavy duty, pilot operated regula-tors are suitable for Ammonia, R22, R134a, R404a,R707 and other common refrigerants and fluidsapproved for use in refrigeration systems.Standard Temperature Range is -20oF to 80o F (-30oC to +30 o C). Also available: 60o F to 140 o F (20o Cto 60 oC). Maximum temperature to which thermalbulb can be exposed is 105 o F (65oC).These valves are generally ordered with closecoupled upstream strainer to prevent entrance offoreign material into the valve and the rest of thesystem.PURPOSEThe temperature compensated pressure regulatordiffers from the conventional pressure regulator inthat rather than maintaining a previously set con-stant pressure, this regulator modulates pressure inaccordance with the demands of the load.
