Remove the accumulator from itsmounting and lay it horizontally in avice or other fixation system. Take carenot to damage the accumulator. Unscrew the protective cap(s). Ifnecessary remove the lead seal fromthe protective cap(s). Deflate the bladder using Parker Olaertester and pressurize instrument (Fig. 1).Operate the tester and pressurizeinstrument as described in its manual. Unscrew the gas inlet valve (Fig. 2). Release the gas inlet valve sub-assembly nut and remove the nameplate (Fig. 3). Unscrew the flange or reduction fromthe hydraulic fluid end. Dismantle theventing screw (not used with everymodel). Take care on the seal. With the accumulator completely freeof pressure (gas and fluid), a loose fitof the grid has to be detected If this is not the case all further workhas to be stopped! Please contactParker Olaer (Fig. 4). Remove the spring ring (Fig. 5). Remove the grid (Fig. 6). Inspect the vessel from any internal damage. Check that the bladder has no sign of wear ofmajor frictional wear or other damage. Under no circumstances attempt to repair thebladder. Replace all worm or damaged parts.
