CONFIGURATION TOOL INFORMATIONThe configuraƟon tool for the A042T is where the user will assign their ships informaƟon to thetransponder. This informaƟon is needed for the transponder to accurately broadcast the class BAIS signal. The configuraƟon tool is on the included CD or can be downloaded from hƩps://www.quark‐elec.com/downloads/configuraƟon‐tools/The configuraƟon tool operates on a Windows PC.The transponder must know where your antenna is located to make accurate readings for otherships and your own. Please be as accurate as possible when wriƟng this informaƟon down. Youwill need it to Configure the A042T.A: Distance from bow to GPS antenna posiƟon in metresB: Distance from stern to GPS antenna in metresC: Distance from port to GPS antenna in metresD: Distance from Starboard to GPS antenna in metresNote: Some of this informaƟon is legally required if using the A042T on water. DraŌ determines the minimum depth of watera ship or boat can safely navigate.Name Enter the name of your vessel.ETA EsƟmated Time of Arrival to desƟnaƟon entered below.DesƟnaƟon This is the desƟnaƟon your vessel is heading to. This should be entered before every journeyideally.Ship typeThis field should contain a number referring to the type of vessel you are using this transpond‐er on. For example enter the number 36 for vessels using sail propulsion. For example enterthe number 37 for pleasure craŌ (Yacht powered by engine).SerialThis refers to the connecƟon you are using between the transponder and the soŌware. Findthe right COM port for your transponder and click connect. This informaƟon can be found inthe device manager on your PC.
