Press POWER ON/OFF to turn on theplayer. The DVD logo appears on thescreen.2. Open the disc compartment door. Placea disc in the tray with the printed sideup. Push back the compartment door.The player will automatically try to readand play the disc. If a menu appears,one of its options can be selected tostart playing the disc. Select it usingkeys and press OK.Player SetupWhen disc playback is stopped, press SETUPand the player’s setup menu will show onscreen.Select a menu icon using keys. Selects zoom optionsConnecting the Power Adapter• Connect the power adapter to the DCjack of the unit.• Connect the other side of the poweradapter with the wall plug or caradapter.• Turn on the power.• Disconnect the adapter if the set is notused for a period of time.Installing the Battery• Plug in the battery at the bottom of theunit.• Slide the battery to the side until a“click” is heard.• The unit is now powered by the battery.Removing the Battery• Turn the unit upside down.• Locate the lock at the bottom.• Push down the lock and slide thebattery to the side to release.Charging the Battery• Connect the power adapter to thepower jack of the unit.• Turn off the power to start charging.• The indicator is red when charging andwill turn green when the battery is fullycharged.• The battery cannot be charged whilethe unit is being used.External ConnectionsThis player can output sound and picture toexternal devices. To do so, slide the FunctionSwitch on the rear side of the unit to the DVDMODE position. Always switch off the playerbefore connecting to any devices.1. Connect the smaller yellow connector to theVIDEO IN/OUT jack of the player.2. Connect the larger yellow connector (withpin) to the video input jack of externaldevice.3. Connect the black connector to the AUDIOIN/DIGITAL OUT jack of the player.4. Connect the orange connector (with pin) tothe audio input jack of the external decice.This player can also be used as a display for otherdevices, such as DVD player, game console etc. Todo so, slide the Function Switch on the rear sideof the unit to the AV IN position. If you press PLAY/PAUSE again, playback resumes from thispoint. To stop playback completely or to startfrom the beginning, press STOP twice.Accelerated PlayWhile the disc is playing, press REV or FWDone or more times to vary the speed anddirection of the accelerated play. Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal playback.Still ImageWhile the disc is playing, press PLAY/PAUSEonce to freeze frame.Frame AdvanceWhile the disc is paused, press STEP (remotecontrol) to activate STEP mode. Each press ofSTEP will advance forward image by image.Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normalplayback.Changing Chapter / TrackWhile the disc is playing, press SKIP REV /FWD to go immediately to the next orprevious chapter, or to the next or previoustrack.Repeat PlaybackDuring playback, press REPEAT repeatedly toselect repeating a chapter or a title (DVDdiscs).A-B RepeatDuring playback, press A-B (remote control)once at the start and press again at the end ofa desired repeat section. The section willrepeat continuously until you press A-B toresume normal playback.Playback of MP3, WMA andJPEG FilesYour player also supports playback of MP3,WMA and JPEG files. When a disc is loaded,the player will automatically search forsupported files and begin playbackautomatically. During playback of MP3 andWMA files and stop mode of JPEG files, thefollowing screen will appear:• Use keys to move todifferent files or directories.• Press OK to play the file highlighted.• While viewing JPEG files, presskeys will rotate or flip picturerespectively.• Program playback is available for mp3and WMA discs, refer to “ProgramPlayback” for details. Input foldernumber under column “D” and filenumber under column “F”.Playback via USB ConnectorMP3, WMA and JPEG files stored on a USBdevice can be played via the USB connector onthe rear side of the player. The registrationnumber can be located in the Setup Menu underthe “Language” submenu.Note: If you cannot play a DivX VOD file recordedon a CD-R disc after downloading it, the rentalperiod allocated during purchase from thewebsite may have expired.
