INSTRUCTIONi Read this instruction before installationand wiring of the productTTC25XConsult documentation in all cases where this symbolis used, in order to find out the nature of the potentialhazards and any actions to be taken1TTC25XTriac controller for proportional controlof electric heatingTTC25X is a proportional controller for electric heating with automaticvoltage adaption. TTC25X pulses the whole load On - Off. The ratiobetween On-time and Off-time is varied 0 - 100% to suit the prevailingheat demand. The current is always switched at zero phase angle toprevent RFI.TTC25X can control both symmetrical Y-connected 3-phase heatersand symmetrical or asymmetrical Delta-connected heaters.TTC25X is only intended for electric heating control. The control prin-ciple makes it unsuitable for motor- or lighting control.TTC25X is intended for DIN-rail mounting.Control principleTTC25X pulses the full load On - Off. TTC25X adjusts the meanpower output to the prevailing power demand by proportionally adjust-ing the ratio between On-time and Off-time.The cycle time (=the sum of On-time and Off-time) is adjustable 6...60seconds.TTC25X has zero phase-angle firing to eliminate RFI.InstallationMount TTC25X on a DIN-rail in a cabinet or other enclosure.Mount TTC25X vertically with the text right side up.Protection class IP20.Ambient temperature 0...40°CN.B. TTC25X emits approx. 45W of heat at full output which must bedissipated.WiringSupply voltageTerminals L1in, L2in and L3in.Supply voltage: 210...255 or 380...415V AC, 3 phase, 50...60 Hz withautomatic voltage adaption. Maximum current 25A/phase.11 3L1 L2 L3 L3 L2 L1 8 9Figure 1: Wiring of supply voltage and loadN.B. The supply voltage to TTC25X should be wired via an all-pole switchwith a minimum contact gap of 3mm.N.B. TTC25X must be earthed.LoadTerminals L1out, L2out and L3out. Resistive 3-phase heater withoutneutral.Maximum load: 3300W/phase at 230V phase - phase voltage. 5750W/phase at 400V phase - phase voltage.Minimum load: 530W/phase at 230V phase - phase voltage. 920W/phaseat 400V phase - phase voltage.Control signalTerminals 8 and 9.Terminal 8 = Signal neutral.Terminal 9 = 0...10V DC.0V input signal will give 0% output and 10V input will give 100% output.1778FMAR 14ENFigure 2: Wiring of control signalNOTE: Do not leave the input unconnected since an open circuit willnot give 0% output but approx. 50%. To ensure 0% output when nocontrol signal is connected, the control input should be short-circuited.SettingsCT Cycle time. 6...60 seconds. The sum of one On-period and oneOff-period.Start-up and fault finding1. Check that all wiring is correct. Make sure the supply voltage isswitched off.2. Measure the resistance between terminals L1out - L2out,L1out - L3out and L2out -L3out: At 230V phase-phase voltage:10.6Ω |
