For full details on the operation of the mobile radio itself, refer to the TM9400Radio Manual. The TA3434-01 contains two TM9400 radios which share a single Control Head. They arealso linked together to allow them to operate as a Repeater.LED OperationFour LEDs are used to indicate the state of the transportable.Battery Select SwitchWarning When shipping and charging the transportable, set the battery selectswitch to External DC/Battery Isolate to comply with safety regulations. The battery select switch is protected with a raised red surround to avoid accidentalswitching on when the lid is closed.Warning Risk of missed calls! Switching between Internal Battery and ExternalDC/Battery Isolate may cause the transportable to restart. When the switch is set to Internal Battery, the transportable runs from the internal battery. When the switch is set to External DC/Battery Isolate, the internal battery is disconnectedfrom all circuitry in the transportable. In this situation, all the circuits in the transportable, including the radio, can only run from an external supply. When connected to an externalsupply, the charger circuitry is switched on and connected to the internal battery.
