OVERVIEWThe LDS-700 is a dual technology line voltage wall switchsensor in the IR-TEC’s WALLSENZR family designed to fitin a standard NEMA wall box for energy efficient automaticload control. This state-of-the-art wall switch sensorcombines digital Passive Infrared (PIR) and advanced HighFrequency Doppler (HFD) sensing technologies into anaesthetically pleasing housing to provide second-to-noneoccupancy/vacancy sensing performance within its 180°field of view detection range. The sensor is factory set to turn ON the load automaticallywhen PIR sensor detects the presence of an occupant, and will turn OFF automatically if no motion is detected byeither PIR or HFD sensor before the delay time elapses. Tocomply with specific energy code, such as CA Title 24, theLDS-700 series can be easily programmed to operate as aVacancy Sensor. In vacancy sensing mode, the sensor willonly turn ON the load by pressing the push-buttonmanually and will turn OFF the load automatically as persensor delay time set. Various sensing operation andcontrol modes can be achieved by different DIP switchsetting combinations and push-button operations.INSTALLATION NOTESSPECIFICATIONSLine Voltage Dual-Tech Wall Switch SensorINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSLDS-700 SeriesPower supplySensing technologyInrush currentLoad switchingDetectable speedMounting heightAmbient light levelDelay time settingOp. humidityOp. temperatureDimensionsDetection coverageMaximum load120/277VAC, 60HzDigital PIR & High Frequency DopplerIncandescent/Halogen – 800W (VA)Fluorescent Ballast/CFL – 800W (VA)Ballast Electronic (LED) – 500/800VA@120/277VMotor – 1/6 HPMax. 80A, 16.7 ms @60HzZero-cross Hybrid-Switching1~10 ft./sec. DO NOTattempt to service or repair. The sensor is more sensitive to the movements“crossing” the detection zones than “toward” or “away”the sensor. To obtain better sensitivity, ensure the sensorto have clear field of view for the occupant’s motionwithin the desired coverage. The closer movement is to the sensor, the moresensitive the sensor is.The sensor should be mounted within the specifiedmounting height for optimal performance.Avoid blocking the sensor with any obstacles, such asdoor, plant, partition or furniture. As a general rule, everyoccupant within the desired range should be able toclearly see the sensor.Do NOT mount the sensor directly above or nearby aheat source, or where unintended motion (e.g. hallwaytraffic) will be “seen” by the sensor.1.2.3.4.5.DETECTION COVERAGE40’Top viewSide view4’ 7’30’40’Minor motion20’20’Major motion 180°, 30 ft x 40 ft (W x L)This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.Operation is subject to the following two conditions:(1)This device may not cause harmful interference,(2)This device must accept any interference received,Including interference that may cause undesired operation.FCC NOTICEP/N: 058-70004-003 Printed in Taiwanwww.irtec.comThis product may be covered by one or more U.S. patents or patent applications. Please visit www.irtec.com for more information.WARNING & CAUTIONAVERTISSEMENT & PRUDENCEInstall the sensor at least 1ft. away from any occupant. |
