Exhaustgases contain deadlypoisonous carbon monoxide,which has no odor or taste.Do NOT useto pumpflammable or explosive fluidssuch as gasoline, fuel oil,kerosene, etc. Do NOT use inflammable and/or explosive atmospheres.Pump SHOULD only be used with liquidscompatible with pump component materials.Failure to follow this warning CAN result inpersonal injury and/or property damage.2. Observe all safety precautions for thehandling of the fuel.Do NOTrefuel ahot engine. Fuel spilled on ahot engine could result in afire or explosion. Do NOTrefuel a running engine.3. Pump should be located and shouldrest on a level solid foundation. DoNOT suspend pump by means of thedischarge pipe.Be sure pump is onsecure footing so itdoesn’t fall over.4. Do NOT use torches or apply excessiveheat, fire or flames to this pump as anexplosion may result.5. Before working on the unit, insulatethe wire from the spark plug, bydisconnecting the spark plug wire fromthe spark plug.Complete pump andpiping systemMUST be protected against below freezingtemperature. Failure to do so COULD causeserious damage and WILL void the warranty.6. Do NOT run pump dry. Water isrequired to lubricate the shaft seal.7. Pumping chemicals or corrosive liquidswith this pump will shorten the life ofthe pump and may be hazardous to theoperator and void the warranty.8. Personal Safety:a. Wear safety glasses at all times whenworking with pumps.b. Keep work area clean, unclutteredand properly lighted; replace allunused tools and equipment.c. Keep visitors at a safe distance fromthe work area.d. Make workshop child-proof withpadlocks, master switches, and byremoving starter keys.9. This pump is designed for non-abrasivefluid transfer; do NOT use as a trashpump. ALWAYS use a suction strainerwith this pump to filter abrasivematerial. Abrasive materials such as sandand gravel will shorten the life of thepump.InstallationThis pump is designed to be self-primingwhen installed and operated as specifiedbelow.1.
