V1.0COMPASS CALIBRATIONSTEP 3) Lift the TYPHOON H airframe straight & level. When the LEDs on two motors start to blink blue and greenseparately as illustrated, turn it forwar d as shown by the red arrow above until the two LEDs turn off.STEP 4) When the LEDs on another two motors start to blink white and red separately as illustrated, turn the aircraft60° to the left and then turn it forward as shown by the red arrow above un til the two LEDs turn off.STEP 5) When the LEDs on another two motors start to blink white and red separately,Turn the aircraft 60° tothe left again and then turn it forward as shown by the red arrow above un til the two LED s t urn o ff.STEP 6) When the LEDs on another two motorsstart to blink green and blue separately, Turn the aircraft 60°to the left again and then turn it forward as shown by the red arrow above until the two LEDs turn off.STEP 7) When the LEDs on another two motors start to blink red and white separately, Turn the aircraft 60° tothe left again and then turn it forward as shown by the red arro w above until the tw o LEDs turn off.STEP 8) When the LEDs on another two motors start to blink red and white separately, Turn the aircraft 60° tothe left again and then turn it forward as shown by the red arrow abov e until the two LEDs turn off.CAUTION: Do not calibrate the compass in parking garages, close to buildings or near roads with a metal core. For optimumperformance, only calibrate the TYPHOON H in open spaces, far away from power lines and other metal structures or concrete buildings.NOTICE: In order to calibrate the compass in the YUNEEC TYPHOON H, Please be sure to perform the compass calibration procedureat least 11 feet away from the nearest cell phone or other electronic devices to ensure proper calibration.STEP 1) Power on the ST16 Ground Stationfirst and then the aircraft, and make sure theyare connected correctly (If they are notconnected correctly, the telemetry data willnot display on the screen).STEP 2) Tap the GPS CALIBRA-TION icon on the ST16 screenand choose COMPASS. GPSCALIBRATIONIf the calibration has been successful, all theLED status indicators will blink continuously, the Main LED Status Indicator will be solidgreen and the flight controller restarts, you willrecognize this when you hear the acknowl-edgement tone, the same one you hear whenyou switch the system on.IMPORTANT NOTE: If calibration has failed, theMain LED Status Indicator will be solid white andyou must repeat the calibration process. If thecalibration continues to fail, either the site ofcalibration is unsuitable or the compass isdefective. Refer to your Yuneec service center.
