Supplemental heat can only operate belowthe balance point and then only upon need. In the eventimproper operating conditions occur (high temperature and/orhigh pressure), the will automatically shut the system down toextend the life of the heat pump. Rapid cycling is prevented byuse of an internal anti-recycle timer.
