Remote operation is possible by DMX,with optional end-of-line termination.Control InterfaceThe main display consists of four seven-segmentdisplays; the data displayed is dependent on the set-up mode of the Demux 24. Around the outside ofthese displays are eight LED’s. Seven of whichindicate the current set-up mode of the Demux 24,the eighth is used for DMX indication.The Demux 24 has a default mode, for operation. Inthis mode none of the set-up mode LED’s will be lit,the main display will show the DMX address(es) andif it has been terminated a small dot will be shown inthe bottom right of the fourth display.Mode Button:The Mode button is used to cycle through thedifferent set-up modes. They are;- Manual- DMX address- DMX fail- Memory- Preheat- Law- Polarity- DefaultEnter Button:The Enter button is used to confirm actions.Up & Down Buttons:These are used to adjust the values shown in themain display. Pressing both buttons together willreset the display to the default values.Set-up Modes:Manual Control:The Manual Control Mode allows the user to set-up alook on the outputs without the need of an externalcontroller.Select ‘Manual’ mode using the ‘Mode’ button. Thedisplay will show CC.LL, where CC is the channelnumber and LL is the level. Select the channel yourequire or ‘A’ for all channels, using the ‘Up & Down’Arrows and press ‘Enter’. Now set the level yourequire using the ‘Up & Down’ Arrows and press‘Enter’ again to confirm and move back to thechannel selection.DMX Address:There are 2 ways that the Demux 24 can be patched– a single DMX start address can be set for the blockof 24 channels (block patch), or each output socket(6 channels) can be given a different DMX startaddress.For block patch, the range of DMX start addresses is001 – 489. In default mode the single DMX startaddress of the block will be shown on the display.For individual patch, the range of DMX startaddresses is 001 – 507. In default mode all four DMXstart addresses are cycled on the display.Select ‘DMX ADDRESS’ using the ‘Mode’ button, thedisplay will show S.AAA, where S is the socketnumber and AAA is the current DMX address for thatsocket. Select the socket you require (1-4), or ‘A’ forall sockets (block patch), using the ‘Up & Down’Arrows and press ‘Enter’. Now set the address yourequire using the ‘Up & Down’ Arrows and press‘Enter’ again to confirm and move back to the socketselection.DMX Fail:There are three DMX fail modes available – ‘fade toblack’, ‘hold DMX’ and ‘fade to memory’.Select ‘DMX Fail’ using the ‘Mode’ button.
