You can set thebrightness using the top bar. Adjust thelevel from 1 to 12 using the buttons oneach end of the bar.6 You can set the speaker volume for thechimes and announcements on thebottom bar. Adjust the level from 1 to 12using the buttons on each end of the bar.7 The volume setting does not effect thealarm sounder volume.8 When you are finished, press Ok.BACKLIGHT TIME-OUTThe backlight time‐out sets the length oftime that the display stays lit after use. Youcan adjust the backlight to 30 seconds, 1, 2,5, or 10 minutes, or to always (to light thedisplay at all times).NOTE: To conserve the Control Panel’sbackup battery, during an AC powerfailure, the display goes dark after 30seconds regardless of this setting.To set the display backlight time, do thefollowing:1 From the Home Screen, press Security.2 From the Security Screen, press Menu.3 From the Menu Screen, press Toolbox.4 To access the toolbox, enter a valid UserCode.5 From Toolbox Screen (1 of 3), press the→ arrow.
