Refer to your computer’s manual for information about enabling COMports (usually involves altering the bios settings, motherboard jumpers, and the operating system).POSSIBLE SOLUTIONYou may be using the wrong serial cable with your external faxmodem. Make sure you are using an RS-232modem cable. You will need to make sure you are using a 25-pin male to 25-pin female if your COM port is a25-pin port, or a 25-pin male to 9-pin female if your COM port is a 9-pin port.
