The 3M Overhead Projector1700 was designed, built and tested for use indoors,using 3M brand lamps and nominal local voltages.The use of other replacement lamps, outdooroperation or different voltages has not been tested,and could damage the projector or peripheralequipment and/or create a potentially unsafeoperating condition.IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDSWhen using your photographic equipment, basicsafety precautions should always be followed,including the following:1. Read and understand all instructions beforeusing. Pay particular attention to areas wherethis symbol ! is shown.2. Close supervision is necessary when anyappliance is used by or near children. Do notleave appliance unattended while in use.! 3. Care must be taken as burns can occur fromtouching hot parts.! 4. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cordor if the appliance has been dropped ordamaged — until it has been examined by aqualified serviceman.! 5. Position the cord so that it will not be trippedover, pulled or contact hot surfaces.6. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with acurrent rating at least equal to that of theappliance should be used. Cords rated for lessamperage than the appliance may overheat.7. Always unplug appliance from electrical outletbefore cleaning and servicing and when not inuse. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet.Grasp plug and pull to disconnect.! 8. Let appliance cool completely before puttingaway or when replacing lamp. Loop cord looselyaround appliance when storing.9. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do notimmerse this appliance in water or other liquids.10. Disconnect this unit from its source of supplybefore replacing the projection lamp.! 14. This unit is equipped with optical lenses andshould not be exposed to direct sunlight.15. Keep ventilation openings free of anyobstructions.16. This unit is assembled with a special powercable that, if damaged, must be replaced by thesame type of cable. Remove bolts (1) from projector body.2. Align post holes (2) with mounting holes onprojector.3. Insert bolts (3) through post holes and turnfinger tight.4. Use wrench (4) to tighten bolts and secure post toprojector body. NotePost bolt wrench (4) is taped to the projection post.1243 ImportantTighten bolts (1) with equal pressure.g
