The IR receiver can be conveniently placed to give you the freedom you need while working. And, twowheels allow for easy scrolling in all directions no matter what the application. The vertical wheel allows you toscroll up and down; the horizontal wheel lets you scroll to the left and right or zoom in and out in a document. Youcan program the mouse buttons to launch the NetJump or LuckyJump for a quick start to programs you runfrequently. You can even create your own Command Menu and with one click put all your favorite programs rightunder the cursor!Connecting and Locating the IR ReceiverThe IR receiver connects to your computer in the same way as a conventional mouseallowing you to place the receiver wherever is convenient on your desktop.1. Locate the round 6-pin PS/2 mouse port on the back of your computer.2. Insert the PS/2 connector into the PS/2 port.Locating the IR ReceiverWe recommend that you attach the receiver on the underside or side of yourmonitor as shown here, between 6~15 cm from the desktop. This will ensureoptimal communication between the wireless mouse and the receiver.To attach the receiver to the monitorThe receiver is held in place with Velcro. First remove the backing paperfrom the Velcro pad and press it firmly in place. Now attach the receiver tothe Velcro pad.Inserting the BatteriesThe wireless mouse uses two AAA batteries. For best performance, use onlyalkaline batteries. Refer to the following to insert the batteries:1. Press the tab on the bottom of the mouse cover as shown here andremove the cover.2. Insert the two AAA batteries. (The correct polarity is indicated onthe battery compartment casing.)3. Replace the cover.Using the wireless mouseOperate the wireless mouse as you would a conventional mouse. The mousehas two transmitters, guaranteeing you the flexibility of movement you need(up to 160 degrees), whether editing text or working in graphic applications.Mouse Receiver LED ActivityThe green status LED indicates three modes:Active: The LED is on when the mouse is being used.Waiting: The LED blinks when the mouse is waiting to receive incoming data.Sleep: If there is no mouse activity for eight seconds, the system goes to Sleepmode and the LED is off.Note! In Sleep mode the Wireless Mouse is powered down and battery power is conserved. Movingthe mouse or clicking on a button instantly brings it back to Active mode.Installing the Mouse SoftwareBefore you can take advantage of the many features your mouse offers, you must install the driver.
