266CRx, 266JRx, 266CSx, 266JSx | OI/266CXX/266JXX/HART-EN Rev. B 3711.4 Configuration of the transmitter without integratedLCD displayIMPORTANT (NOTICE)The configuration possibilities described beloware only possible for the models 266Cxx withswitched off rake function and for the 266Jxxmodels.The parameters “start of measuring range” and “Span” are setdirectly on the transmitter via the operating buttons. Theseoperating buttons are arranged under the rating plate///.In order to operate the device locally, unscrew the fasteningscrews of the rating plate, and swing the rating plateclockwise to the side.ATTENTION – material damage due to amagnetic field! The use of magnetic screwdrivers results indamage of components.Do not use a magnetic screwdriver to operate thebuttons. The transmitter has been calibrated by the manufacturerbased on the order information. The set measuring range startand measuring/// range end are specified on the identificationplate. The following always applies:— The first pressure value (e.g. 0 mbar) is always assigned tothe 4 mA signal (or 0%) and the second pressure value(e.g. 400 mbar) is always assigned to the 20 mA signal(or 100%).— To make new settings on the transmitter “measuring rangestart” and measuring range end” are specified on themeasuring cell as pressure. In this regard, measuringrange limits must not be exceeded.IMPORTANT (NOTICE)A reducing station with adjustable pressure andreference display can be used as the pressuregenerator. For the connection, ensure that liquid residues (for gaseoustest materials) or air bubbles (for liquid test materials) are notin the impulse line; liquid residue can cause measurementerrors in the test. The possible measuring error for the pressure generatorshould be at least three times less than the desired measuringerror for the transmitter. It is required to set the damping to the value “zero”.11.4.1 Configuration of LRV and URV (4 … 20 mA range)1. Measuring range start pressure (4 mA) - specified by theprocess or by a pressure generator. Pressure must bestable and must be applied with high accuracy < 0.05%.Press operating button “Z”. The output current is set to4 mA.2. Charge the transmitter with the pressure that correspondsto the end of the measuring range, and wait for approx.30 seconds, until it has stabilized.3. Press the operating button “S”. The output current is setitself to 20 mA.4. If required, reset the damping back to the original value.5. Document the new values that have been set. Theappropriate parameters will be saved 10 seconds after thelast activation of the operating button “Z” or “S” in non-volatile memory.IMPORTANT (NOTICE)This configuration procedure only changes the4 … 20 mA current signal; the process valueshown on the digital display or the user interfaceremain unchanged in this process. Possibledifferences can be avoided as described. After such a correction, the device configurationmust be checked.
