The general principle of application data mappingThe interface between the REX 521 physical applications and the IEC 60870-5-103application layer is done accordingly:6yr
hvr6If a corresponding REX 521 application signal is defined by the IEC 60870-5-103standard, the alternative A is used.6yr
hvr7Refer to Digitale Stationslettechnik - Ergänzende Empfelungen zur Anwendung inVerteilnetzstationen by Vereinigung Deutscher Elektrizitätswerke.6yr
hvrQPrivate definitions are basically used because of two reasons:1. The standard does not define the signal.2. The signal is defined by the standard but the REX 521 application signalinterface differs from this model.Class 1 data buffering and prioritiesThe internal IEC 60870-5-103/Class 1 buffer inside the REX 521 unit can store upto 50 spontaneous events. The interrogation events and the possible responsemessages, that also are part of the class 1 data, do not occupy space in the buffer. The priority of the different categories of the pending class 1 data is always so thatthe response messages have the highest priority, thereafter the spontaneous eventsand finally the interrogation events. The IEC_103 data cannot be filtered by usingevent masks.Function Functioncode CommentReset CU 0 Replies with the identification stringUser data 3 • GI command• time synchronization (unicast)• application control commandsBroadcast 4 Time synchronization onlyReset FCB 7 Replies with identification stringRequest Access Demand 8Request Status of Link 9Request Class 1 Data 10Request Class 2 Data 11
