Please read this Guide carefully before making any connection. Appended to thisdocument is an Operator Guide, which is suitable for copying and presenting to end-users.A separate Programmer Guide provides details of the control codes, and describes the internaloperation of this product.The Ap863 is part of the Ap800 Series of electronic printers and shares many features of the range.2.1 NOTES ON PRINTER FIRMWARE REVISIONS (INCLUDING FLASH)Able Systems reserves the right to modify and improve the firmware in its printer products at any time.Whilst every effort is made to ensure backward compatibility, no guarantee in this respect is given orimplied.During 2002 the Ap863-F will be improved to include a flash-reprogramable microcontroller. This willgive the added benefit of allowing firmware upgrades under customer control.
