Notice: Be sure to follow figures two and three when making your own cables.Do not use the ground lug on the XLR connector. Do not connect the cable’sshield conductor to the ground lug or allow the shield conductor to come incontact with the XLR’s outer casing. Grounding the shield could cause a shortcircuit and erratic behavior.Special Note: Line Termination. When longer runs of cable are used, youmay need to use a terminator on the last unit to avoid erratic behavior. A ter-minator is a 110-120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor which is connected between pins 2and 3 of a male XLR connector (DATA + and DATA -). This unit is inserted inthe female XLR connector of the last unit in your daisy chain to terminate theline. Using a cable terminator (ADJ part number Z-DMX/T) will decrease thepossibilities of erratic behavior.CH6 CH1 CH2 CH3 CH4 CH5 CH6MODE R G B MacroModeSpeed /StrobeMode Function1 (0-31)set color0 0 00(off)0-15 static16-255 stro-be speed(0-31) colorsettingOff1-255 1-255 1-255 RGB/strobe2 (32-63)dim mode0-15 0-15 0-150-255Adjustspeed(32-63)dim modeNo output16-255 16-255 16-255 selecting colorand strobe tochange speed3 (64-95)light mode0-15 0-15 0-15 (64-95)light modeselecting colorand strobe tochange speed16-255 16-255 16-2554 (96-127)light & dimmode0-15 0-15 0-15 (96-127)light & dimmodelight & dim modeselecting colorand strobe tochange speed16-255 16-255 16-2555 (128-159)mix colorNA NA NA (128-159)mix colormix color adjustmix color speed6 (160-191)3 colors strobe(192-223)7 colors strobeNA NA NA (160-191)3 colors strobe(192-223)7 colors strobe3/7 colors strobeadjust strobespeed78 (224-255)audio modeNA NA NA NA (224-255)audio mode7 colors soundcontrol9 (0-255) NA NA NA NA 1-255Macromode16-255strobe(0-255) NA macro mode32 colors4 STAGE PAK DMX Set UPDue to fog residue, smoke, and dust cleaning the internal and external opticallenses and mirror should be carried out periodically to optimize light output.Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixture opera-tes (I.e. smoke, fog residue, dust, dew). In heavy club use we recommendcleaning on a monthly basis. Periodic cleaning will ensure longevity, and crispoutput.1. Use normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe down the outsidecasing.2. Always be sure to dry all parts completely before plugging the unit back in.4 STAGE PAK CleaningListed below are a few common problems that you may encounter, with solu-tions.No light output from the unit;1. Be sure you have connected your unit into a standard wall outlet.2. Be sure the external fuse has not blown. The fuse is located at the rear ofthe unit.3. Be sure the fuse holder is completely and properly seated.Unit does not respond to sound;1. Low frequencies (bass) should cause the unit to react to sound. Tap- pingon the microphone, quiet or high pitched sounds may not activate the unit.2. Check the Mic setting. It may be set to a lower sensitivity setting.4 STAGE PAK Trouble Shooting87
