Product Features■ 24 ports of G.DMT or G.LiteADSL, configurable individuallyon a port-by-port basis, alongwith baseband POTS■ Front Panel LEDs forpower/card status and loopstatus for each subscriber loop■ Interface rates individuallyconfigurable at particularupstream/downstream ratecombinations or rate adaptingto best rates available on loop■ Upstream/downstream ratesindependently configurable in32 kbps increments■ Upstream and downstreammax, min and target SNRmargin configurable individu-ally on port basis■ POTS Loop Start and GroundStart as software options■ Flow-through provisioning fromthe switch through GR-303 tothe IADSL module■ V.90 modem support■ Flash download■ Fully hot-swappable■ Industry-leading 10-yearwarrantyAs broadband continues to grow in popu-larity and demand, Asymmetric DSL (ADSL)remains a major DSL service offering.Carriers are faced with the operationalchallenge of delivering both POTS and ADSLin the most efficient manner. The ADTRAN TM Integrated ADSL (IADSL)module is an access module for the TotalAccess ® 3000 DSLAM platform that providesADSL, splitter, and POTS functions for 24subscriber interfaces. It works in conjunctionwith the DS3 Cell Switch Module to provide acomplete solution for ADSL and POTS inter-faces.The IADSL module for the Total Access3000 DSLAM provides 24 ports of G.DMT orG.Lite ADSL, configurable individually on aport-by-port basis, along with basebandPOTS. In order to provide the most deploy-ment flexibility to carriers providing theseservices, ADTRAN has engineered the IADSLmodule for maximum capability and respon-siveness:• Interface rates individually configurableat particular upstream/downstream ratecombinations or rate adapting to bestrates available on loop• Upstream/downstream rates independ-ently configurable in 32 kbps increments• Upstream and downstream maximum, minimum, and target Signal-to-NoiseRatio (SNR) margin configurable individ-ually on port basis• POTS Loop Start and Ground Startsupport• V.90 modem supportADTRAN has made loop testing easy byintegrating Metallic Test Access supportedwith test relays that put local loops onto theTotal Access 3000 DSLAM test bus (via4-wires) for testing through an external testhead. The IADSL card supports both SNMP andstandard TL1 test commands for easymanagement and operation. Operations,Administration, Management & Provisioning(OAM&P) is performed via the EnhancedSystem Controller Unit (ESCU) of the TotalAccess 3000 DSLAM. The Total AccessElement Management System (EMS) is aGUI-based management system that providesone-click provisioning and sophisticatedcentralized management capabilities.POTS interfaces are delivered through a T1on the front panel of the card. A pushbuttontoggles the Port LED status between POTSand ADSL indications. The POTS or ADSLindication state is determined by the positionof the button. The card defaults to the ADSLindication. POTS status is only shown whenthe user is pushing the button. A softwareoption available via the craft interface screenallows the default option to be changed.IADSL Module24-Port DSLAM Access Module
