128-Port CSMTotal Access®3000 128-Port Cell Switch ModuleProduct Features■ Full local switching capability■ T1, SHDSL and ADSLline interface support■ Remotely manageable■ Suitable for Remote Terminaland Central Office applications■ UNI3.1 and TM 4.0 compliant■ Full QoS (CBR, VBRrt,VBRnrt, UBR)■ Policing and queuing■ Oversubscription availablefor sustained services■ Full ATM address space■ Industry-leading,10-year warrantyFrom Voice-over-DSL (VoDSL) and high-speed data to network-edge concentrationand switching, the ADTRAN® Total Access128-Port Cell Switch Module (CSM) providesthe industry’s best solution for ATM-baseddeployments. The ADTRAN CSM provideslocal switching capability for ADTRAN’sTotal Access 3000 multiservice accessplatform. The 128-Port CSM provides ATMswitching for up to 128-physical ATM portsand up to 500-virtual circuits. With a varietyof subscriber line interfaces, the CSM offersan unmatched degree of flexibility in networkdesign and scalability. The CSM occupies a single position in theTotal Access 3000 and can be used with ATMDS3, T1, SHDSL, ADSL, Circuit Emulation, and T1 IMA subscriber line units to addressthe majority of today’s DSL applications. TheCSM-equipped Total Access 3000 functions asan ATM switch. Adding a second CSM to theexisting shelf provides switchingredundancy. ADSL, Circuit Emulation,T1 IMA, and SHDSL line cards can beused to provide DSLAM services. T1 inter-faces can be used for business-based voiceand data services that are terminated byIntegrated Access Devices (IADs) or routers. The Total Access 3000 system can functionas the loop access platform, concentrationplatform, or switch in remote terminal, remote central office, or hub central officelocations due to its small size, high density, and temperature-hardened design. The CSM can be managed through SNMP,Telnet, or local craft interface with VT100terminal emulation. ADTRAN’s Total AccessEMS provides the management platform forthe Total Access 3000 system for OperationsSupport Systems requiring TelecommunicationsManagement Network (TMN) support ormediation services for various protocols.
