4.1 Initial CleaningRemove all accessories and removableshelf supports from the appliance.Refer to "Care andcleaning" chapter.Clean the appliance before first use.Put the accessories and the removableshelf supports back to their initialposition.4.2 Setting the timeAfter the first connection to the mains, allsymbols in the display are on for someseconds. For the subsequent fewseconds the display shows the softwareversion.After the software version goes off, thedisplay shows and "12:00". "12"flashes.1. Press or to set the currenthour.2. Press to confirm. This is necessaryonly when you set the time for thefirst time. Later the new time will besaved automatically after 5 seconds.The display shows and the sethour. "00" flashes.3. Press or to set the currentminutes.4. Press to confirm. This is necessaryonly when you set the time for thefirst time. Later the new time will besaved automatically after 5 seconds.The display shows the new time.4.3 Changing the timeYou can change the time of day only ifthe oven is off.Press again and again until theindicator for the time of day flashes inthe display.To set a new time, refer to "Setting thetime".5. The control knob comes out.5.2 Activating anddeactivating the applianceIt depends on the model ifyour appliance has knobsymbols, indicators orlamps:• The indicator comes onwhen the oven heats up.• The lamp comes on whenthe appliance operates.• The symbol showswhether the knobcontrols the ovenfunctions or thetemperature.1. Turn the knob for the oven functionsto select an oven function.2. Turn the knob for the temperature toselect a temperature.3.
