Children should not beallowed to tamper with the controls or playwith the appliance.Never use the hood without effectivelymounted grating!The hood must NEVER be used asa support surface unless specificallyindicated.The premises where the appliance isnstalled must be sufficiently ventilated,when the kitchen hood is used together withother gas combustion devices or other fuels.The ducting system for this appliance mustnot be connected to any existing ventilationsystem which is being used for any otherpurpose such as discharging exhaust fumesfrom appliances burning gas or other fuels.The fl aming of foods beneath the hood itselfis severely prohibited.The use of exposed fl ames is detrimentalto the fi lters and may cause a fire risk,and must therefore be avoided in allcircumstances.Any frying must be done with care in orderto make sure that the oil does not overheatand ignite.Caution! Accessible parts of the hoodmay became hot when used withcooking appliance.With regards to the technical and safetymeasures to be adopted for fumedischarging it is important to closely followthe regulations provided by the localauthorities. The hood must be regularlycleaned on both the inside and outside (ATLEAST ONCE A MONTH).This must be completed in accordancewith the maintenance instructions providedin this manual). Failure to follow theinstructions provided in this user guideregarding the cleaning of the hood andfi lters will lead to the risk of fires.Do not use or leave the hood without thelamp correctly mounted due to the possiblerisk of electric shocks.We will not accept any responsibility forany faults, damage or fi res caused to theappliance as a result of the non-observanceof the instructions included in this manual.2. USEThe hood serves to aspirate the fumes andvapors resulting from cooking.The attached installation manual indicatesthe version to be used depending on themodel you have, the suction version withexternal evacuation or filtering withinternal recirculation .3. INSTALLATIONThe mains power supply must correspondto the rating indicated on the plate situatedinside the hood. If provided with a plugconnect the hood to a socket in compliancewith current regulations and positioned inan accessible area, after installation. If it notfi tted with a plug (direct mains connection)or if the plug is not located in an accessiblearea, after installation, apply a doublepole switch in accordance with standardswhich assures the complete disconnectionof the mains under conditions relating toover-current category III, in accordance withinstallation instructions.Warning! Before re-connecting thehood circuit to the mains supply andchecking the efficient function, alwayscheck that the mains cable is correctlyassembled.
